It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten excited about any Nokia product. Actually, the only time I’ve ever been excited about a Nokia product was when I got my first cell phone (sometime in 2001). I’ve owned and used exactly two Nokia cell phones in my lifetime, both of them were the grayscale kind with Snake. They were quality phones that had the bare essentials.
Since that time, Nokia has come out with a whole barrage full of cell phone and smart devices. The Nokia N-series is their line of multimedia devices, and the Nokia N810 is their newest product.
IT. IS. AWESOME.
Well, at least I think so.
The Nokia N810 is a multimedia and internet tablet device that fits in your pocket. It has full-fledged internet access through Wi-Fi, GPS, a microphone for Skype calling, Bluetooth connectivity, 2GB internal memory with expandable microSD slots (virtual unlimited storage), E-mail, RSS reader, picture browser, PDF reader, games, music playback, and a whole host of other goodies built-in! See them all in the official N810 spec sheet.
The part that excites me most about this is the true internet browsing. It’s not mobile internet browsing which usually skews and rearranges webpages to look all stupid. No, the N810 truly allows you to browse webpages as they should be seen — Flash, AJAX, Java, and all other web technologies included. Oh yeah, the device is touchscreen too with a convenient slide-out keyboard! YUM!
Even better is that the entire OS is built on open-source Linux which probably means people will develop for it non-stop and continue to improve the software as the technology becomes available.

Check out the N810 demo to see this great device in action.
When I start working, I’m going to put my first paycheck towards this thing. OMG. So awesome. I’ll never be lost again! It’s available starting next month for $479.
