Deep-fried Coca-Cola

Ok, first of all, I didn’t even know you could deep-fry Coca-Cola. And second, who even thought that frying Coke would be a good idea, let alone a tasty idea?!
Whoever that was…I think I’m glad that they did think of it because deep-fried Coca-Cola sounds VERY TASTY! :D
According to the Wikipedia entry on it (that’s how you can tell it’s made its mark), the food was concocted in 2006 at the Texas State Fair where it won several awards! The food itself is thought to contain about 820+ calories, but of course, every batch is different and nobody really knows. In fact, I’d reckon that anybody who is even eating it could care less. They just care that it tastes good.

So how’s it made? Well, it depends on who the vendor is, but for the most part, they’re made by dipping batter into Coke syrup, then dropping it into a deep-fryer, and then taking it out and dripping some more Coke syrup over it. Sounds yummy!
