24: The unaired 1994 pilot

What strikes me most about this parody of 24 is the fact that I grew up on technology that they are making fun of in this video. It’s so weird to think now that I used to wait for the sound of the modem when I signed on to AOL (or any ISP). It’s also funny to me that I think printers these days are slow, but when it comes right down to it, I used to wait about 10 times longer for ONE PAGE on a dot matrix printer.

The only thing that didn’t hit home personally was the heavy use of pay phones. Sure, they were around all the time, but I hardly ever used them. Still, it’s funny to see Jack Bauer run up and down stairs just to make a phone call because cellular technology was too expensive for Jack Bauer to own. Hahaha. MacGyver would have just made a cell phone…

And wow…paying an hourly rate for internet. That just sucks. I’m glad its 2007.
