Tyra Banks and the Wondrous Vulva Puppet

I had a hard time picking appropriate categories for this post. It was just…wow. I’m scared I’ll have to make a “Crazy Tyra” category.

Anyway, Tyra Banks, host of The Tyra Banks show, dedicated an entire hour of the show to talking about the vagina. To make the broadcast topic more comfortable, the show brought in Dr. Debbie and the Wondrous Vulva Puppet.

Man, watching the video below made me think two things: 1) is it true that there are “lots” of women out there that don’t know this basic female anatomy?; and 2) why does Tyra talk to her guests like they are retarded?

I’m surprised that nobody has reminded Tyra that she’s talking to grown women and not to a class of 4th graders. Seriously, if I was a woman in that audience, I’d ask the producers of that show to quit making women of America look absolutely stupid and ignorant.

That whole part where Tyra mocks the audience’s groans and says, “So many women think that you pee and have a baby from the same hole” is a good example of Tyra somewhat condescending speech.
