This fan’s got all the right looks and safety features, despite it not having any cage to protect you (and little children) from its blades.
The Ventilux fan is designed by Zetsche & Koenigbauer. It is made with polyurethane foam and aluminum and comes in green, pink, fluorescent orange, silver and anthracite. The fan has an “intelligent motor” (whatever that means) that can stop the fan in 1.5 seconds in case any clueless fingers get in the way.
Normally, the Ventilux is available at Generate for $299, but at the moment it seems to be sold out. Check back later to see if they’ll ever get it in stock again!
By the way, I could be drawn to this fan because of how much it resembles the old Theme Hospital logo if its turned the right way!

its ‘intelligent motor’ is probably just a stepper motor controlled by a simple microprocessor using sensor feedback…all in all, the parts cost around $4….$300 is quite ridiculous.
RE: joe
hahaha…the cost for good-looking things.
PRETTY.
it is quite pretty, but i got a little vornado fan with flappy cloth “blades” that works really well and only cost me $20. only good for desk use, but it’s so cute! and effective! and comes in orange and green and other non-regular fan colors!
