Space Shuttle Atlantis (STS-122) attacked by spider!

On Sunday, December 9, 2007, NASA scrubbed the launch attempt of the Space Shuttle Atlantis (STS-122) due to sensor failures on the aircraft.

Oddly enough, a spider decided to crawl across the NASA cameras, making it look like there was a giant spider attacking the Space Shuttle on the launch pad. As a joke, many media outlets decided to report that the spider was the cause of the rescheduled launch of the Space Shuttle Atlantis.

For now, the launch date is scheduled for no earlier than January 2, 2008.
