How awesome are these orange Bicycle poker cards that I picked up the other day here in Melbourne?

Thanks to my fascination with magic stores, I saw these behind a glass case and immediately bought them!

COOL, eh?

I love cards. I love orange.

Calvin and Hobbes – ‘Christmas Eve’

I’m having a great Christmas day so far. But for those readers who are on US time, you’re still a few hours away from Christmas day. So to ring in Christmas, I’m going to post this Christmas Eve poem from Calvin and Hobbes. I post it every year and every year I find it so good to read.

Christmas Eve by Bill Watterson

On window panes, the icy frost
Leaves feathered patterns, crissed & crossed,
But in our house the Christmas tree
is decorated festively
With tiny dots of colored light
That cozy up this Winter night.
Christmas songs, familiar slow,
Play softly on the radio.
Pops and hisses from the fire
Whistle with the bells and choir.
My tiger is now fast asleep
On his back and dreaming deep.
When the fire makes him hot,
he turns to warm whatever’s not.
Propped against him on the rug,
I give my friend a gentle hug.
Tomorrow’s what I’m waiting for,
But I can wait a little more.

Charice Pempengco on the Ellen Degeneres Show

December 22, 2007 @ 5:50 pm

Charice Pempengco, the very young singing sensation from the Philippines, was on the Ellen Degeneres Show on December 19, 2007. She sang two songs — “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” and “I Will Always Love You’”.

Watch the video above to hear her amazing voice.

Doobybrain on holiday

December 21, 2007 @ 8:40 pm

So Flo is going to be here for a month or so visiting and playing. Updates will be sporadic at best for the next month.

The best way to get me to notice something is to email it to me or share it in Google Reader (SHIFT + S on any article). Use the contact form on the contact page to email me funny stories, images, or any other random goodies. If it’s really good, it’ll get posted ASAP. Otherwise, you might see them posted a month from now. It sounds like a long time, but believe me, a month will pass by faster than most of you think!

For now, enjoy the holidays and Merry Christmas!

Leftovers

I absolutely love the new BBC beta page. I love how everything is giant-sized and customizable! :)

If you’re driving in California and you get pulled over by a cop, it might not be a bad thing. Who knows, you might be getting $5 to Starbucks for driving well!

Those little piggies that I posted about earlier are available for purchase at Deal Extreme.

A good read about how the New York City transit system has changed through audible noise over the years.

Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney Spears’ younger 16 year-old sister, is PREGNANT. Family circus is in full effect.

IHOP has opened a location in downtown Brooklyn!

This is gonna suck. March 2008 marks the start of a new fare hike for certain MTA Metrocards.

I just unsubscribed from OfficeTally after what was many weeks of agonizing pain over their “brief” RSS feeds. FULL RSS FEEDS PLEASE, EVERYBODY.
