Back in Melbourne (leftovers)

Hello folks! So I am back from my holiday out in Sydney and around the Whitsunday Islands. In short, it was beautiful and hot. The weather was very good (could have been cooler, I guess) and sunny all around. I am fully tanned beyond recognition and I’m sure that I’d be even darker were it not for Banana Boat SPF 30 sunscreen.
I have some photos to go through from the trip as well as several thousand feed items to catch up on (however, I can basically mark all of Lifehacker and Consumerist as “read” because they always post retarded “back in ______ [insert year]” posts).
Anyway, I have a couple of things to do before I can sit down and relax, but rest assured that posting will come [few but] steady for the next couple of days. Here’s a list of things I can link to right away:
- Secrets - it sucks that PostSecret now hides past permalinks to their posts.
- A Year In Iraq - 2,592 deaths in 2007 (see the big chart here).
- I Am Legend screener is leaked and available online. That’s pretty insane.
- Virgin Megastore at Union Square will close its doors on February 1, 2009.
- Have you noticed that Gmail now has 6GB of storage space?
- Brand New thinks the new Xerox logo is a mashup of the Kodak, Xbox, and Wolverine images. Spot on.
- Yay, MSNBC.com videos can now be embedded into webpages!
And also, here’s a cute video that Tiffany sent over of my cousin’s baby.
We Need to Poo? from febie on Vimeo.
As I get settled back into my apartment, I’ll post more about my trip. But for now, I’m glad to be back.
