WANT!

This is totally awesome. Belkin has come out with this music sharing device called the RockStar that allows you to share your tunes with up to 5 different friends at once.

Normally, splitting audio from one output to 5 different ones results in a loss of audio quality, but the Belkin RockStar actually includes a chip inside that makes sure that the audio doesn’t degrade with each added connection.

The Belkin RockStar can also support two audio inputs, meaning you can connect 2 iPods (or two other audio devices) and mix and fade to your heart’s content. Neat, eh?

The device is available in the US starting March 2008 for $19.99.

man, this thing would be awesome for when we have to practice and we’re learning a song. we could all just plug in our headphones and no one would have any idea what we’re doing.
