Pushing Daisies: my new TV addiction

pushing-daisies.jpg

Pushing Daisies is a new ABC TV show dramedy about a guy, Ned, and his supernatural ability to bring things back to life…and then back to the dead again. However, his powers aren’t as simple as they seem, for Ned has certain limits on his powers, and his powers have certain irreversible effects of their own.

On top of all this, Ned is incredibly awkward and so is just about every single person that appears on screen. And I truly believe that this is why the show works so well. It’s supposed to be weird and I just love it so far!

The show first aired on October 3, 2007 and has only had 9 episodes so far. The small episode number is due largely to the WGA strike which is still ongoing at the time of this post.

If you haven’t seen the show yet, you have to check it out. The production work is absolutely gorgeous and visually stimulating. The entire show looks like a storybook come to life and it’s just fun to watch.

I’m not sure if any reruns are airing on ABC, but if they aren’t then go ahead and download the torrents that are available.

Thanks Flo for these episodes! I can’t wait to go home and watch more!

oh i’m so glad you discovered this! i LOVE this show too! and yes, ABC has some episodes online, and at least one in HD. i absolutely love that everyone is a little awkward, yet charming and everything is colorful and happy, especially since it’s a show largely about life and DEATH. this WGA strike is killing me….. !!

I like to think of it as a mix between the office and willy wonka. So funny.
