I can’t stop playing Bomberman Land Touch

It’s not the newest game, nor is it the best game, but dang, it is a good game!

Recently, I’ve stopped playing Tetris DS and moved on to Bomberman Land Touch for the Nintendo DS. I don’t play the story mode in the game. All I do is set up custom multiplayer games for myself against 7 computers (each computer set at ‘hard’ level).

The games that I set up aren’t impossible to beat, but they are challenging to say the least because they’re all sort of ridiculous. Plus, when there are 7 other computers playing, it’s fun to watch them do their thing when you die early (and the game makers are smart enough to speed up the game when they know all “human” players have died).

Over the past couple of days, I’ve managed to narrow down some of the better stages to play when there are 8 players (at hard) on the screen.

• Stage: Mini-Mini - good for quick games since all 8 players are on the bottom screen rather than spread out across both screens; players die off faster and the need to blow away all the blocks from your area to prevent traps becomes a time game.
• Stage: Full-Power - No blocks, just full-power blasts from all players’ bombs; accidental deaths are almost unavoidable if you lose your concentration, which makes this level really fun when you are very distracted by other things.
• Stage: Inferno - Simply chaos because there is nothing to hide behind; if you’re in the line of fire, you’re really in the line of fire here.
• Stage: Lotsa Items - Tons of items all revealed in the center, just gotta get to them first. But be careful, once all the blocks are gone and all the items are taken, this level becomes Inferno.

This game is complete chaos if you play it right, and that’s what makes it so addictive and fun!
