Beautiful silver dollar pancakes
By now, many of you regular readers should know that one of my favorite things to eat is pancakes. I can pretty much eat pancakes anytime and in anyplace. Whenever I go to a restaurant and there are pancakes on the menu, it doesn’t even matter what else there is to order, I’ll have myself some pancakes.
Silver dollar pancakes are the most fun, because they always come in huge stacks (since they are smaller in diameter). I like that the height of the stack pretty much solidifies my place as the pancake king of the table. But yeah, I LOVE PANCAKES.
VeganYumYum recently photographed some homemade silver dollar pancakes and they look absolutely delicious! In the eyes of a photographer, these photos are great because they emphasize the tasty texture of the food while still making them very appetizing to look at. The bright yellow background certainly lends to that effect.
Anyway, I don’t know why I’ve never thought of doing this, but along with the homemade recipe, VeganYumYum also suggests that you place the finished pancakes in the oven to keep them warm rather than letting them sit on the counter-top. This way, when all of the pancakes are finished, the entire stack will be deliciously warm!
