This is totally awesome. Jon just sent over this link to a website that features spherical videos!

Spherical videos are basically moving panoramas. Think of it as the QuickTime Virtual Reality (VR) image format but with fluidity!

Just like QTVR, spherical videos allow you to pan up, down, left, and right in near-360-degrees while watching a moving scene. Some of the examples are really cool and the movement can really make you feel like you’re in that particular space.

Definitely head on over to Spherical Video and check out some of the videos provided. You will need Flash 9 installed (you should have it installed anyway). The videos don’t take long to load at all.

Virtual reality online just got a whole lot cooler.
