In this comics-related post, I briefly mentioned a new sort of internet meme where removing Garfield’s speech/thought bubbles resulted in a much funnier comic strip.

True, the comic does get funnier when you just have Garfield staring at everything all the time. But what happens to the comic when you remove Garfield entirely? The comic strip suddenly becomes very twisted and weird, bordering on the line of schizophrenia, bipolor disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life. [via]
