Crysis physics test: 3000 barrel explosion
This is absolutely amazing. This video tests the physics engine behind the very popular first-person shooting game, Crysis (released by EA).
Using the game’s included Sand Box program, this player built a custom level with 3000 barrels and initiated an incredible fall sequence that looks more or less like how I imagine 3000 barrels would fall in real life (of course, I’ve never seen 3000 barrels actually fall like that, so I can only assume it’s pretty close to accurate).
There’s also a 500 barrel explosion video, but it’s pretty much the same as the video above.
