Old V8 juice ads were weird

I’m continuing to explore the vast collection of old and vintage product advertisements at The Gallery of Graphic Design. I can’t seem to get enough of how weird they all seem. It’s hard to believe that at one point in time, these were actually successful advertisements.

I don’t know, I just find them all — especially these V8 ads — very creepy looking. Maybe it’s the style of the illustrations in conjunction with the odd sense of enthusiasm for this product. Just look at those facial expressions…
