Quote Unquote

I think it’s really dumb when people type out “quote unquote” before they quote something (or put emphasis on parts of speech).
For example, if I were dumb, I would have written the above sentence in this way:
I think it’s really dumb when people type out quote unquote quote unquote before they quote something (or put emphasis on parts of speech).
Do you understand why typing out those words is stupid? That term should only be used when speaking orally.
