Road traffic simulation applet

This Java web applet is great for testing virtual traffic simulations.

With the applet you can see how traffic would flow on 6 different types of roads and situations (ring road, lane closing, traffic lights, on-ramp, uphill grade, and lane changes). On top of that you can also factor in the amount of cars and trucks on the road to see how different vehicle types alter traffic speeds.

Crank up all of the sliders to maximum and watch as this virtual world grinds to a halt.
