Using an uncommon technique known as “micrography“, Los Angeles Pop Art (LA Pop Art) has taken the words from the first 11 chapters of L. Frank Baum’s children’s book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and turned it into a beautiful poster.

Each word is uniquely written and specifically colored in order to complete the entire final poster.

The poster is on sale from LA Pop Art for several prices:

  • 24″ x 36″ poster: $13.99
  • 24″ x 36″ limited unsigned poster (1000 available): $99.99
  • 24″ x 36″ limited signed poster (250 available): $299.99

Here’s a closer view at the words that make up this beautiful tribute to the original book.

The great news is that this poster is only the first in a series of more posters to come that will eventually span the entire length of the book. The other posters haven’t been revealed yet, but they should all be complete by the end of this year.

If The Wizard of Oz isn’t your thing, then definitely check out the other great micrography work that LA Pop Art produces.
