Sony HDR-SR12 High Definition Handycam Camcorder

My obsession (see here and here) with HD videos has re-ignited my passion for amateur film making (and my love for Vimeo). Watching videos in HD just seem so much more satisfying, and I get the sense that making videos in HD would probably sit along the same lines of satisfaction.
The last time I filmed anything was last semester when I took a video class at RMIT. It was a lot of fun, and sadly, I haven’t been able to upload any of those video projects because of my ultra-slow internet connection.
Anyway, one sure way to get me really fired up to make videos would be a completely new camcorder. I think the Sony HDR-SR12 HD camcorder is pretty sufficient. :P
In brief, the camcorder has a 120GB hard-drive to store video and an image sensor that can capture 10MP still images and video at 1920×1080. Impressive, to say the least. Plus, I’m sure the learning curve won’t be so bad since I already own a Sony camcorder.
WANT! But really, probably won’t get because of its $1400 price tag…
