Death Cab For Cutie release “Narrow Stairs” on May 13

Death Cab For Cutie is following up their last album Plans with a new album called Narrow Stairs which features a much more . The new album is scheduled to be released on May 13, 2008.

So far, any news about the album has made it sound like it’s going to be a far departure from their previous musical works, with adjectives to describe the new album as weird, creepy, slower, and even abrasive. You can get a sense of that from the splash video on their website or from listening to the first single “I Will Possess Your Heart” on their Myspace. Here’s hoping that the new album is at least as good as Plans.
