WordPress 2.5 released!

Today, WordPress 2.5 is officially released, and with the new release comes a completely new look for the default admin panel as well as for the WordPress website.

Just a few days ago, Matt released a video screencast demonstrating the features in Wordpress 2.5 (you can watch the video below).

And just for fun, this is how many times WordPress 2.5 has been downloaded. You can also test-drive WP 2.5 here by logging in with username/password: admin/demo.

I’m having DreamHost upgrade me as I type this. I really just want to check out the image gallery stuff, which has been sorely lacking for a long, long time. Also the ability to set multiple thumbnail sizes for images.

Hooray for new image options.
