Zooey Deschanel is one of my favorite actresses ever. She acts well, she’s funny, I’ve liked just about every movie she’s been in, and she can sing!

If you haven’t heard, Zooey Deschanel teamed up with M. Ward to release a CD called Volume One under the artist name She & Him. The songs all feature Zooey’s easily recognizable voice layered on top of great indie-pop tunes. The whole album has an old feel to it (probably best listened to while sipping tea and reading a book).

I recommend listening to “Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?”, “I Was Made For You”, and “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” (the untitled last track).

I must say her voice really goes well with matt Ward’s siick guitar skills.
The mama’s and the papa’s “dream a little dream of me”, was a great cover.
