Candy cigarettes

Apparently, candy cigarettes (also known as sugar fags) were very popular kids’ candies from the 50’s and 60’s.
I have never heard of them until just now. But man, they look delicious! Now I can be popular without sacrificing my health! SUPER-DUPER! Here’s a gallery of vintage candy cigarette packages.
A 24-carton box of candy cigarettes can go for as low as $4.69! YUM YUM YUM!

Man, you didn’t have a real childhood if you didn’t have these growing up. They’re fantastically fun. You can puff out one, maybe two, small clouds of sugary fake smoke and pretend to smoke just like the big kids… then you can chew on it and enjoy the really, really low quality bubble gum inside.
They’re great!

yea, you should be able to track down some ‘fads’ anywhere. i remember they started out branded as ‘fags’ and had red tips on the end of the lolly, then they lost the red tip and were plain white, and now are rebranded as ‘fads’. I think there’s also ‘big boss’ in aus, which is more pinky in colour and larger (longer and thinker) to mimic a cigar.
i know a little too much hey, guess you can say i don’t smoke but make it up with lolly alternatives
