Randy Pausch’s book “The Last Lecture” was released last week and it’s doing exceptionally well. WIRED reports that the book is now a runaway success, much like his origignal video lecture. It is selling so well that Amazon.com won’t have more in stock until at least May 1st!

In the video below, Pausch gives a personal look at his reasons behind writing the book.

It’s amazing to see that Pausch is living beyond his initial diagnoses of 6 months (from September 2007) because of his spectacular outlook of living his life to the fullest.

You can follow the updates posted by Randy on this website. Or you can read more about the legacy of Randy Pausch here.

If you haven’t seen his lecture yet, you can do so below.

i loved that lecture. it’s awesome that he gets to go out like this – leaving behind his legacy the way he wants to. but sad that we’ll all be buying his book and watching his video knowing he’ll be gone soon…

How inspiring Randy Pausch is! If you liked “The Last Lecture”, another fantastic memoir I just read and highly recommend is “My Stroke of Insight” by Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor. Her TEDTalk video (ted.com) has been seen as many times as The Last Lecture I think, and Oprah did 4 shows on her book, so there are a lot of similarities. In My Stroke of Insight, there’s a happy ending though. It’s an incredible story! I hear they’re making it into a movie.
