Tree People of West Papua, Indonesia
The photo above taken by George Steinmetz is absolutely amazing. It is part of a series of photographs George took in West Papua while documenting the life of the Korowai people who live primarily in tree houses. [via]
I singled out the photo here because it is just mind-boggling how enormous the trees are and how small it makes the people look. It makes the Korowai look like the tiny people in Fern Gully.
