Nikki Yanofsky can sing better than most people I know

Believe it or not Nikki Yanofsky is only 14 years old, but don’t hold that against her because she’s got the vocal chords of a much more mature singer.

Nikki has amazed audiences at home in Montreal, Canada and in the US, singing old jazz favorites and wowing audiences with her excellent scat singing abilities. Critics are comparing her to Ella Fitzgerald which is quite something when you consider that Ella is known as the “First Lady of Song”.

In honor of Ella, Nikki was chosen to be featured on a tribute CD from Verve Records entitled We All Love Ella: Celebrating the First Lady of Song where Nikki sang the song “Airail Special”. You can really hear Nikki’s scat abilities if you listen to this song. I’ve posted some videos below.
