Blackr lets you see nothing but the image in Flickr

blackr

The image above might seem uninteresting, but there’s a reason to all of that blackness. Have you ever browsed Flickr photos and thought, Man, this would look so much better if there wasn’t so much clutter on the page? I know I have, and that’s where I find use for the Blackr bookmarklet.

Just add the Blackr bookmarklet to your toolbar in your browser and click on it whenever you are at a Flickr page that you find distracting.

There are four options to choose from. You can have the page turn completely black or have it black with a white border around the image. You can also make the page all-white or all-white with a black border around the image.

As far as bookmarklets go, this one is pretty useful. Head on over to Blackr to get started.

Not bad, but seriously, have you tried the PicLens plugin? (This sounds like a spam, sorry). It let’s you explore flickr photos via a “wall” on black. Awesome for going through big sets, or just someone’s photostream because you don’t have to click between pages. You can also do image searches through it on google.
