That was a disappointment

Back in December I was surprised to find out that I Am Legend was a movie about vampires. Since then, I seemed to have forgotten all about the vampire part simply because I didn’t keep up with the film or how it was being received by viewers and critics. I never got to see the film in theaters.
So yesterday, I finally watched I Am Legend pretty much without any thoughts about it whatsoever. I just simply wanted to watch it because I wanted to see what NYC would look like in quarantine.
Then suddenly, a vampire pops out of nowhere.
I am seriously sitting there saying out loud, “WHAT.”
I can’t believe that I Am Legend is a vampire movie! I just can’t believe it. I hate vampire movies. And I don’t hate vampire movies because I think they’re scary. I hate them because they’re always so stupid. I just think vampire movies are dumb. The only vampire/zombie movie I’ve ever liked was 28 Days Later. Everything else I’ve ever seen with vampires in it was rubbish, and to some extent I Am Legend is part of that group of not-so-great movies.
