Here’s another thing I’m sure lots of you already knew: Dashboard Confessional released at least 4 different versions of their hit single “Stolen” (from the album Dusk and Summer).
The version I’ve had in my iPod for the longest time was the album version which is slow (you can hear it on the band’s Myspace page), but apparently the one that was being played on the radio and in the music video was the faster “radio mix”. I didn’t even know because I hardly ever listen to the radio and I don’t stick around much for music videos on TV.
Anyway, I went and tried to look up videos for each version and found 3 of them. Here they are below.
Acoustic “Stolen” with violin replacing the synthesizers. The album version of this song (which there is no video for) is about this speed.
The radio mix version of “Stolen” (this is the music video that played on US TV). This is the faster version that I like better.
And oddly enough, Dashboard Confessional re-recorded the faster version of the song as a duet for international release. They also re-edited the original music video to include scenes of Juli’s lead singer walking along the beach.
The fast duet version of “Stolen” with German rock band, Juli. This version was released internationally.
Download the faster version of “Stolen” here (not the duet): Rapidshare.
Download the faster duet version of “Stolen” here: Megaupload, Rapidshare.

let me know if you find the duet version.
