Spore character creation gameplay

It’s been quite a while since I’ve heard or read anything about the development of Spore, the next “big game” from Will Wright (the creator of The Sims). When the game was first announced, I was incredibly excited for its release because I love all of the games made by Will Wright and his game development team.

I almost thought of the game as vaporware after new material stopped coming out. Then I saw the video above and my excitement came back again. Whee! :)

Here’s one more video showing all of the virtually limitless combinations of characters that people can create using the character creation engine in the game.

This is beginning to look like the most complicated but also the most fun game ever.

Update: Ok, I take that back. I didn’t lose interest because the game stopped releasing development material. I’m just an idiot and didn’t follow the constant stream of game developments being released by EA. Whatever, the game is cool. That’s all you need to know!
