The New York TImes has a great photo slideshow of some of the work of NYC graffiti artist, ESPO.
ESPO, or Steve Powers, was recently awarded a Fulbright scholarship after spending nearly 6 months in Ireland teaching kids from troubled neighborhoods in Dublin and Belfast how to make public art.
I’ve taken note of ESPO’s work throughout NYC for a while now. He used to have a huge aluminum roller gate painted somewhere on 7th Avenue and I used to admire it on my way to Clinton. Man, that seems like ages ago.
Anyway, search Flickr for some more images of his work.
