This September, Ginko Press is publishing a book by James and Karla Murray (of Urban Image Photography) called “Storefront: The Disappearing Face of New York City“.
The 244-page hardcover book documents the storefronts in New York City that have largely remained intact despite an increasing amount of changes on the block that they occupy. The storefronts are windows into the lives of generations-old businesses that are not in danger of being razed to make way for “newer and better” stores.
Storefront will be an impressive look at window displays, signage, and NYC culture that has somewhat faded over the years. I can’t wait to get my hands on this book.
Thanks for posting this. Great blog also. Really wonderful! Much respect, J&K
