Gonna write a 2000-word short story

I have one more last writing assignment for this semester. I was given a variety of prompts to work from, and this is the one I have chosen:
Trans-genre: re-write a piece from one genre into another, in such a way that the limitations and virtues of each genre are highlighted. For example, re-write a tragic story as a business report, or take a cartoon strip and turn it into a short-story.
Oh man, it’s almost as if this assignment was written specifically for me!
I’m pretty sure I’ll be creating a story around this image.
