NASA Moonstream concept by Anthony Sims

moonstream

Vehicle designer Anthony Sims labels it as the “Mars Lander”, but this enormous 6-wheeled vehicle is meant for the moon (at least for now). It’s called the Moonstream and it’s meant to provide a safe and pleasurable trip for visitors wanting to travel on the Moon’s surface. [via]

From what I can gather, it looks like the Moonstream got some of its design inspiration from nature. The shape of the vehicle is representative of Galapagos turtles, the stance of giraffes, and the “aquatic forms of the humpback whale”. It’s meant to be an all-around luxury vehicle with many of the same tech goodies you’ll find on Earth.

I wish he’d commission this model to be mass produced because heck, I’d buy one and sit it on my desk. Better yet, this would look great as a remote-controlled car.
