“Life In Technicolor” is supposed to sound bad?

coldplay-playing-mtv

Ever since I basically nuked the Coldplay leak, I’ve been trying to find a scene rip of the CD and so far I haven’t been successful.

I’ve been reading various forums and I’ve been reading that the quality of “Life In Technicolor” is supposed to sound like it’s crap. If you’ve downloaded the files I posted earlier, you’ll know what I’m talking about.

If this is true, then I have no idea why the band decided to do this since the song itself is pretty awesome when it picks up towards the middle.

I’m hoping that it’s just a bad rip or terrible encoding. We’ll see in 3 days…

Hi, let me explain what I know as I love this song too and I’ve been looking for a high quality version everywhere. The original leak was a torrent with 7 tracks in WMA and the two singles in MP3 quality + the webrip (webrip = craprip) of Life in Technicolor, which has terrible quality. Now, everybody started converting these files to MP3 of ‘higher’ quality (just to make the files larger as it would sound exactly the same), renaming the tags, and uploading the album everywhere (under fake titles like ‘cdrip’, ’special edition release’, blah blah blah), to pretend they are all different. But the truth is that they are all still the same from that original WMA 7-track leaked torrent. “Life in Technicolor” WON’T sound like this. In fact, I have a higher quality version than the one that’s out there, which I got from their MySpace page (you can stream their whole album there). Here’s a rapidshare link, it’s way better but STILL not a good MP3, and it’s nowhere near CD quality.

Now, the song is great, it’s an awesome instrumental. I can’t wait to get an original copy of this album.

By the way, the design of this blog is pretty awesome. Sorry for any grammar mistakes, my native language is spanish :p
