Shakespeare Behind Bars

I just finished watching Shakespeare Behind Bars and I’m totally recommending it for you all to see.
The movie itself isn’t too spectacular. What is spectacular is watching the inmates as they wrestle with their own guilt and think about what it means to be forgiven (for the various crimes they’ve committed). It’s an amazing look at one part of life behind bars that is rarely (if ever) seen outside of prison.
You’ll see how the inmates learn about themselves and each other as they rehearse scenes from The Tempest. Shakespeare Behind Bars is really a touching film that’ll have you rooting for the bad guy towards the end.
