Popular Mechanics has this great video on how technicians made sure that Fahrenheit, America’s steepest and most severe rollercoaster in operation, was ready for real-life passengers and thrill-seekers. [via]

Fahrenheit opened in May at Hersheypark in Pennsylvania (did you know that Hersheypark is actually ONE word, not two?). The rollercoaster has a 97-degree drop where riders experience the scary sensation of the track disappearing beneath them for a split second before tumbling back to earth at incredible G-force speeds.
