According to The Shophound, Lucky Brand Jeans is reviving one of Walt Disney’s oldest cartoon characters, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

Created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks around 1927 while they were working at Universal, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit went on to become a huge success for the studio before running into trouble.

To make a long story short, Walt Disney was not happy with the way he was being treated by Universal and soon left the company to form his own. Apart from Universal, Walt Disney and a few friends later came up with Mickey Mouse, who is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable figures in all the world.

Fast forward to 2006, where The Walt Disney Company regained rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit from NBC Universal.

If you’re wondering where Mickey Mouse got his looks, now you know.

Anyway, Lucky Brand Jeans is selling the T-shirts for $44. Pretty cool. I want one.

Check out Oswald the Lucky Rabbit below in one of his first feature-length films, Trolley Troubles.
