Hyper by Denis Darzacq: Suspended in the supermarket

Those of you who know me know that I have a thing for jumping photos. I love being in them and I love taking photos of jumping people. I have no idea why I have such a fascination with them especially since most of the time they require almost zero effort to take. I guess I just like how each jumping photograph can capture so much energy and expression in one shot.

Anyway, the Hyper series by French photographer Denis Darzacq is just awesome. Box Vox says that Hyper is just short for “hypermarket”, which is the French term used to describe a supermarket.

The photos are lit amazingly well in each location and I really want to try something like this when I get a chance. Even if my results don’t come out like this, I’m sure I’ll have fun doing it.
