With the new AT&T plans, itll turn out to be more than the iPhones now :( instrad of 60$ per month for two years, the minimum is 70$ for two years so you end up paying and extra $240 more than you would for the current iphone.
that said, i am definitely going to get one still :) theyre even going to have an app in the appstore for voip!

oh awesome! i’m putting that date in my calendar.
but i wonder if Apple will have a problem selling both devices on the same date. the specs are so similar that I really don’t know which i’d choose if i were to get one. the iPhone G3 sounds nice, but people tell me that the iPhone 3G is good too.
