Hong Kong wouldn’t be anywhere today without its escalators. Sometimes it seems like people in Hong Kong won’t even bother going up if there’s no escalator. Stairs just don’t cut it.
The escalator shown above is literally a few steps in length. By the time you steady yourself on a particular step, it’s time to get off. Man. Also, is this not the best photo ever?
I’m afraid I have seen even shorter escalator in HongKong :D
The shortest is actually in Kawasaki, Japan. It has a Guinness Book of Records certificate framed next to it. :-D
