While I was away from the computer last week in Hong Kong, Nike introduced the Hyperdunk, a shoe based off of the sneakers that Marty McFly wore in Back To The Future 2.

It seems like the grassroot movement and efforts of individuals and sites like the McFly 2015 Project have proven somewhat successful after all of these years, despite the fact that the Hyperdunk is still not a true representation of the shoe that Marty McFly wore in the film.

Here’s a video of the shoes from Back To The Future 2.

While the Hyperdunk shoes don’t actually have power laces that lace themselves, the shoe does feature Nike’s advanced Flywire technology system that allows the shoe to remain incredibly lightweight and strong. The Flywire technology literally holds the shoe together with a system of wires like a suspension bridge, giving support to the areas of the foot that need it the most.

NikeKicks also has a bunch of photos of the Olympic editions of the Nike Hyperdunk (same shoe, with different colors for countries participating in this year’s Olympic games).
