This is the Specialized Langster New York, a fixed-gear bicycle that borrows its aesthetics from the iconic New York City taxicab.

I think it’s pretty neat and I wouldn’t mind paying the $740 if only it weren’t fixed-gear.

If you’re curious, the Langster also comes in Seattle, London, Chicago, and Boston framesets. And if you don’t want to be associated with any particular city, this frame also comes plain with just a Specialized logo.

Can you tell I’m in the market for a new bicycle? :)

i’m sure you could switch it to a single gear bike. Try Frank’s bike shop located on Grand Street. They have good models and deals.

You should get a Surly Pugsley. It is the greatest bike. You would be an instant badass with one. Its know for its heavy duty frameset and large marge tires! Thats what they call ‘em!

This bike comes with a flip-flop hub - one side is fixed and the other is single speed.
