I’ve been listening to The Kooks a lot lately, especially their latest album Konk which came out in April of this year. The album has substantially positive reviews all around and rightly so. The tunes on this record are catchy, upbeat, and full of rock.
But personally, I think I’ve been listening to them a lot because I miss Melbourne, and Konk simply reminds me of Melbourne because that’s where I first fell in love with the music.
If you liked The Kooks’ first album, Inside In/Inside Out, then you definitely won’t be disappointed by this sophomore album. It’s everything that the first album was, but more refined and definitely even catchier than before.
“Shine On” music video
I recommend listening to “See The Sun”, “Always Where I Need To Be”, and “Down To The Market”.
