Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Coming Out Of Their Shells

July 30, 2008 @ 12:18 am

Depending on the way you look at it, this is either the coolest album from your childhood or the most embarrassing album from your childhood.

This soundtrack is ripped directly from the tape deck that the soundtrack came out on, so you’ll hear hisses and typical static sounds associated with listening to music on a tape deck. It’s not 100% perfect, but it’s damn near close!

Download the album here: Sharebee.

And just for fun, here’s a video of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Live With Regis and Kathie Lee back in the day (Monday, Sept. 24, 1990).

Leftovers

Drawn! has posted a link to a collection of logos that look very similar.

Sunday secrets.
More Sunday secrets again (because I haven’t posted a Leftovers post in quite a while).

Kid Robot is making Simpsons vinyl toy figures.

So, that new New School building that was supposed to be built at 65 Fifth Avenue is now pretty much just a dream. Sure, there’ll still be a building there, but not a magnificent one.

Windows Vista on a Mac…slightly skewed.

Animatronic Alien mask

July 29, 2008 @ 7:49 pm

Wow. Hands down, this would make the ultimate Halloween mask EVER.

This Alien mask is made by Pete Mander over at Kre8-FX, a company based in Ontario, Canada that develops animatronic costumes for use in movies and film.

For those of us with the money to spare, Pete Mander and his company do sell some of the items that they make. Since they ask that you contact them directly about a price quote, you can pretty much bet that these animatronic masks will run your bank account dry.

Here’s one more example of the Alien mask, this time with dripping fangs.

Dinosaur on Live With Regis and Kelly

July 29, 2008 @ 7:40 pm

In anticipation for the Walking With Dinosaurs show at Madison Square Garden, I was browsing various dinosaur videos that feature these lovely animatronic beasts and I came across this one from sometime last year.

Here is a dinosaur visiting New York City on the Live With Regis and Kelly TV show. I still can’t believe these animatronic dinosaurs look so real. I mean, sure, you can see the legs of the operator inside the dinosaur, but it’s still shocking to see a dinosaur on the streets of New York City.

Walking With Dinosaurs @ Madison Square Garden

July 29, 2008 @ 7:33 pm

Beginning tomorrow, Madison Square Garden is hosting the Walking With Dinosaurs show that features realistic dinosaurs unleashed inside the building. The dinosaurs are similar to the one that I posted about previously at the Natural History Museum in LA.

In simple words, this show is probably going to be FANTASTIC. At the moment, it’s probably the closest thing to Jurassic Park that you can get to. I’ve been watching some videos from the show’s tour and I’m just amazed at how real these dinosaurs look (not that I’d know what REAL dinosaurs move and act like, but it does seem to be quite believable).

Check out a video of a short portion of the show below.

And I may have posted the following video before, but here’s how the dinosaurs are made.

The show at Madison Square Garden starts tomorrow (July 30) and runs for one week until August 3, 2008. If you want to buy tickets, the prices range from $35 to $99. Anybody interested in going?

I love that it’s still like this

Everytime I load Google Maps, the home location that it shows me is Melbourne, Australia. :)
