Beta Gamma moved in next door and their internet is fast

August 31, 2008 @ 9:06 am

For two weeks now, I’ve suspected that some kind of fraternity or large social group has moved in to 148 West 28th Street (the building that’s connected to our building) because I always see lots of people outside on the street drunk and really loud late at night, and also because I have reason to believe that they go on the roof all the time and stomp around right above my room.

I also think that this group moved into the 7th floor of 148 (the same floor as us) because sometimes when I’m in the kitchen, I can hear REALLY LOUD BASS BEATS through the wall.

It’s been pretty annoying having the new crowd next door. But today, I think I know how to get even on my own terms. I’m going to use their incredibly fast and free internet. As you can see, BETA GAMMA has left their Wi-Fi connection wide open for anybody within range to use. On top of that, their internet is SUPER FAST. I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT.

Dragonball Z remastered intro is SUPER SAIYAN CLEAR

August 30, 2008 @ 10:45 am

As soon as you see the first image in this intro, you know right away that this version delivers much more in terms of clarity than any other version before it. Man, I can’t believe how clear it is, even on YouTube! Imagine how clear the actual remastered DVD collection must be!

Tractors are your best bet if you want to get unstuck

Three vehicles, presumably in Russia, are aided by a tractor when they all get stuck trying to pull each other out of the mud. I definitely think the music in the video makes the situation that much more funny. [via]

The internet amuses me

Somebody at iPodhacking Community forums is really upset that I have this old entry up expressing my opinion about how I didn’t like the new UI on the iPod classic when it first came out. If only they knew that I’m a big fan of the new iPod classic and that my opinion expressed in that post is now about 10 months old (plenty of time in human terms to have a change of heart).

Why they consider that post such a horrific attack on their personal interests is beyond me, but I welcome the flow of new comments. I’m all for reviving an old post for no reason whatsoever.

With that said, I’ve taken it into my own hands to respond to a few of the comments. I’m having a lot of fun reading the angry comments that come in. I hope somebody includes this post in that original forum post. If they keep coming, MY SITE WINS. If they stop coming, MY SITE WINS. So really, I have nothing to lose by giving this more attention than it actually deserves.

Whee! :)
