White supremacists want Barack Obama to be President

This is the craziest thing I’ve heard all day. White supremacists are voting (or at least backing) Barack Obama for the Presidential bid because they believe that his Presidential win will spark a white uprising in America.
Barack Obama is part African-American.
These white nationalists believe that once white people see a black President in office, they will realize how much control they have lost in the United States.
How do these people even find the guts to say such things on a national scale?
