The Boombox Project by Lyle Owerko

I think I know only one person that actually owns and still makes use of their boombox. The boombox in its traditional seems like a forgotten piece of music tech that only hipstersĀ bring up to show everybody that they are cool (READ: Annoying).
While I personally don’t have any sort of emotional connection to the boombox, I do appreciate the design of the units, especially after seeing the boombox photos from Lyle Owerko. [via]
Lyle photographs these boomboxes like specimens; very straight-forward with an amazing use of lighteing technique that makes the boomboxes almost seem like vector drawings! And what I love about Lyle’s website is that he not only shows you the photographs as a whole, but he also allows you to print any photograph.
Head on over to Lyle’s website to check out the photos from The Boombox Project!
