I just downloaded the Opening Ceremony video (without the 3+ hours of athlete entrances) and man is it exciting to watch!
I downloaded it initially in standard broadcast quality because I didn’t want to consume too much bandwidth downloading the HD version, but after seeing samples from the 720p HDTV rip, I couldn’t stop myself from going back and searching for the HD version.
Man, I can’t believe it’s 4GB!
i have the HD version and it is FANTASTIC.
i cant wait to get mine and watch it in SUPERB QUALITY!
I am going to burn mine on DVD and watch it on the big screen. I hope it works and looks good!
the CGI fireworks & lip-syncing (pretty messed up) were downers though…
Thanks for the link to the HD version! I got quite a good quality one (was 2.5gb) but it’s not HD, but now that I’ve seen your post, I’m hot-footing it to the site! :)
Hopefully we can get a good version of the closing ceremony. Not that it was quite as spectacular, but the colours were just as vibrant. Please let us know if you do. Thanks!
